Healing services and after care

Cape York Family Centre provides residential alcohol and other drug rehabilitation services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families of Cape York in Far North Queensland.

The unit specialises in culturally appropriate healing services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families whose lives have been negatively affected by substance use. This centre is unique because it takes in the entire significant family unit of adults and children for the residential stay. Services are delivered by Pinangba, an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led arm of UnitingCare, in partnership with BlueCare, working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Queensland.
