Our Supported Living Facilitators make a difference in the lives of the people we support under the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme). They work with people who have varying abilities who may be impacted by physical and/or intellectual disabilities to help ensure they are able to maintain a great quality of life.
We encourage people to challenge their limits and support them to set short and long term goals. We support people with a variety of tasks including:
day to day personal living support
engaging in a wide range of therapies and
setting and achieving any kind of short or long term goal.
finding a job, going on a holiday or meeting new friends

As the hours of our positions are dictated by the needs of the people we support the availability required for each position may vary – we strongly encourage you to talk to us about the flexibility you require so that we can find the best partnership for you and the person you will support.
We are currently looking for people to express interest in upcoming opportunities within the South East Queensland Region. This role typically suits people who:
are active members of the local community
are passionate and energetic and
have previously worked or volunteered as a carer supporting older people, people with disability or children or young adults.

Before commencing with UnitingCare Queensland you will also need to provide a Senior First Aid Certificate and Driver's License, and currently hold or be willing to obtain positive notice from Disability Services (Yellow Card) and Working with Children Check (Blue card).
