Youth support in Agnes Water
Dedicated to helping children and young people make good choices and overcome challenges, UnitingCare’s Discovery Coast Youth Support Work offers a range of support services in a bid to give kids the best chance in life.
We are there for young people who are living in the Agnes Water region, and are disengaging from their families, communities, education and social activities.
Through a one-on-one care model, we help youth with a number of issues, including:
- Domestic and family violence.
- Sexual assault.
- A history of trauma.
- Early signs of mental health issues.
- Disinterest in school and employment.
- Problems getting to school and medical appointments.

How does Discovery Coast Youth Support Work help?
Collaboratively, we ask our young people how we can help them, before coming up with a tailored plan for their needs and goals. Support can range from counselling for complex emotions as a result of trauma to help with creating a resume or transport to medical appointments. We can provide help for both short and long-term needs, as well as refer to other services.
Who does Discovery Coast Youth Support Work help?
Our service is available to young people, aged between 12 and 21, in the Agnes Water area. Please note: If the Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs is the primary guardian of the young person, we are unable to assist.
