Improving quality of life for the youth of the Gold Coast is at the heart of everything we do. We provide free counselling to children, young people and their families needing help to navigate challenging issues.
These challenges could include:
- Mental health issues.
- Grief.
- Parental separation.
- Domestic violence.
- Drug and alcohol misuse.
- Other issues where support would be beneficial.

How does Pathways to Grow help?
We offer free individual and family counselling by university-qualified professionals who specialise in social work, psychology and counselling.
We also:
- Provide a safe space for children and young people to feel comfortable to open up about their feelings.
- Work closely with them to teach them how to respond to difficult situations.
- Support parents to build on their existing skills to better support their child.
- Link in with other services to provide holistic support.
Who does Pathways to Grow help?
Children and young people aged up to 18 years old and their families who might need ideas, information and support to overcome painful issues.
How to access Pathways to Grow support
We take self-referrals or referrals through schools and other agencies. We are not available to those who are subject to statutory child protection intervention, through the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services.
